Gunfire, Crash Part of Wild Night in Chester

Two people were caught running from the scene. They were both taken to the hospital.

Police are investigating a wild night in Chester.

It started around 8:15 Sunday night when investigators say that at least one gunman opened fire on a silver car at 21st and Edgemont.

The driver of the silver vehicle sped away, then crashed into two cars -- a parked SUV and an Audi that was stopped at a light -- about a block away, according to police.

Authorities say the two people in the silver vehicle fled the scene on foot after the accident.

"One was holding his side like he had been hit, shot," witness Tracy Brown tells NBC10.

They were caught by police and transported to the hospital.

A third person, the woman driving the Audi, was also taken to the hospital, according to investigators.

"She was minding her business, and she had her kids with her. She got out of her car all frantic and panicking," Brown said.

Police haven't released the names or conditions of the victims.

They tell NBC10 they're looking for at least one gunman in the incident.
