Firefighters Battle Two N. Philly House Fires

Chopper10 was over the scene of both fires Thursday morning.

A busy morning for firefighters as they battled two house fires early Thursday in North Philadelphia.

Around 9:30 a.m., crews were called to the 2500 block of North 28th Street. One person was transported to the hospital. The fire was under control less than an hour later.

And just after 10 a.m., firefighters responded to the 1700 block of Gratz Street, where heavy smoke poured from a home.

A firefighter on the scene was taken to the hospital for a foot injury.

That fire was under control by 11 a.m.
