A driver lost control of his vehicle and set off a chain-reaction crash in Philadelphia's Kensington neighborhood early Wednesday morning after hitting a pothole that was surrounded by warning cones, police said.
The driver and the vehicle's two passengers all ran from the crash scene -- located near Tulip and Cumberland streets, authorities said.
Police caught the trio about a block from the intersection.
Investigators said the driver was speeding down Tulip Street, going towards Cumberland, around 2 a.m. when the car hit the pothole and subsequently slammed into a parked SUV, which then hit two other parked cars.
There were no reported injuries.
