Del. Copper Thieves Try Again, Get Caught: Cops

Two Delaware teens are accused of stealing electrical copper wire from a New Castle County factory. Police say they got away with it once but got caught when they tried it again.

The owner of the NVF factory in Hockessin, Delaware, caught two teens trying to steal copper from the Gun Club Road facility, again, according to New Castle County Police.

Jon Lloyd, 18, and a 17-year-old were arrested Monday at the facility. Investigators say they've linked Lloyd and the teen to a burglary at NVF in February. They forced their way through the front enterance and stole 250 feet of electrical copper wire worth about $2500, say police.

Lloyd and the 17-year-old are charged with attempted burglary in the third degree, burglary in the third degree, felony theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy in the second degree.
