Police Seek Couple Who Left Man at Lower Bucks Hospital

Police in Bucks County are trying to piece together the final moments of a man's life and they are asking for the couple who dropped him off at a local hospital to come forward.

A man and a woman brought 54-year-old Thomas Collins in his Honda Accord to the emergency room at Lower Bucks Hospital around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Bristol Township Police Department.

Collins was pronounced dead a short time after he arrived at the hospital, but it is unclear what his condition was when hospital staff first removed him from the vehicle, according to police.

There were no signs of forced trauma and the cause of death is pending a toxicology report, which will become available in about four to six weeks, according to Bristol Township Police Lt. Terry Hughes.

The pair who brought Collins to the hospital left in his vehicle, which was initially considered stolen. Police have since recovered the car.

Initial reports indicated the couple dumped the deceased man at the hospital, but Hughes said an investigation revealed that is not the case.

"We believe the victim was driven to the hospital for medical aid," Hughes said.

"It doesn't appear to be anything criminal," he continued. "We are trying to get a hold of those two subjects in the photo, not because they are suspects or persons of interest, but because we want to piece together the last moments of this man's life."
