Rescuers freed a construction worker who became trapped after falling into a ditch while on the job site Thursday.
Officials said the worker, who was not identified, fell into the trench up to his waist and suffered only minor injuries.
The accident happened near Summerdale Avenue and Emerson Street in Philadelphia's Rhawnhurst section around 9:45 a.m., officials said.
The man was trapped in the trench for more than 20 minutes and was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
