Car Hits Pole, Brings Down Live Wires in Juniata Park

A car crashed into a pole and brought down live wires in Philadelphia's Juniata Park neighborhood early Monday.

Firefighters, medics and PECO crews responded to the scene of the crash, at G Street and Wyoming Avenue, just after 4 a.m.

A person was trapped inside the vehicle for a brief period as rescuers worked to secure the live wires and make the area safe.

The person was out of the car by 6 a.m. and appeared not to be seriously hurt. It was unclear whether the downed wires would have a major affect on power in the area.
