Members of the Millville High School track team made a shocking discovery Monday afternoon during practice.
The students came upon a backpack full of weapons in a wooded area along running trails near their school.
Police arrived at the scene around 4 p.m. Millville High was locked down as a safety precaution while officers searched the area and secured the weapons.
Investigators won’t say exactly what the weapons were. No suspects or additional weapons in the area were found. Police continue to investigate.
