Authorities say they found $500,000 cash in a Jeep during a traffic stop in Philadelphia and are seeking the driver, who fled the scene.
Assistant District Attorney Brian Grady says police attempted to stop the vehicle for a traffic violation around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, but the driver eventually fled after stopping. Officers then found $500,000 in cash in the vehicle.
Grady says no drugs were recovered, but that authorities suspect the cash is related to drug activity. No arrests have been made in the case and authorities are still looking for the driver who fled. Prosecutors displayed the vehicle and the cash on Friday.
