Armed Robbers Target Local Grocery Store: Cops

Police are searching for four men caught on surveillance video robbing a local grocery store.

It happened back on July 23 at 1:50 p.m. at Carmens Grocery Store on the 900 block of East Woodlawn Street. Investigators say four men, two armed with handguns, entered the store, took an undetermined amount of money and then fled the scene on foot. Surveillance video shows one of the suspects throwing a store employee to the ground. Police have not yet revealed if that employee or anyone else inside the store was injured.

The first suspect is described as a thin black male between the ages of 16 and 18, standing at 6-feet. He was last seen wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt and black pants with white stripes. Police also say he was carrying a silver handgun.

The second suspect is described as a thin black male between the ages of 16 and 18, standing at 5-foot-9. He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap with black trim and the word β€œMiami” possibly on the front. He was last seen wearing a Gray sweatshirt, dark pants and was armed with a handgun, according to investigators.

Police described the third suspect as a black male wearing a Gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and brown work boots. Finally, the fourth suspect is described as a black male wearing a Gray hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and black sneakers.
