4 People Escape Fire That Destroyed Delaware Home

Two adults and two teenagers managed to escape a blaze early Thursday morning that destroyed a home in Wilmington, Delaware.

Fire fighters responded to the home on Merrimor Court in New Castle County shortly before 3 a.m., officials said.

Heavy smoke and flames ripped through the home, causing the roof over the garage to collapse, authorities said.

Ten fire companies were needed to get the blaze under control.

Investigators are working to determine the fire's cause.
