Gunman Shoots 70-Year-Old in Foot Along Philadelphia Street

Philadelphia Police searched for a shooter who opened fire on a 70-year-old man leaving him hospitalized.

The gunfire rang out just before 3 p.m. along the 2900 block of N 26th Street in North Philadelphia, said investigators.

A bullet struck the 70-year-old in his foot. Medics transported him to Temple University Hospital in stable condition.

Following the shooting, investigators roped off a section of the street and marked off about one dozens pieces of evidence in the middle of the street.

Investigators asked anyone with information to contact Philly Police.
