New Jersey Police Find 1,356 Bags of Heroin in Car

An investigation on a vehicle in Toms River, NJ resulted in a seizure of 1,356 bags of heroin.

The Toms River Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team was keeping watch on a Nissan Altima that had repeatedly been involved in suspicious activity throughout the township on June 25, said investigators.

Officers stopped the vehicle around 2:30 p.m. and found 27 bricks consisting of 1,356 wax folds containing heroin, which have a street value of $13,000, said police.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 28-year old Michael Morgan from Brandies Road in South Toms River.

He was sent to Ocean County Jail on $75,000 bail.
