Man Makes HIV Threat During Robbery

The man is accused of threatening to stab workers with an HIV-infected needle

A man, on a hunt for prescription pain pills, robbed a Wyomissing pharmacy Sunday, according to the Reading Eagle.

The man approached the pharmacy counter at the Rite Aid on the 2200 block of State Hill Road, and handed over a note stating that he would stab the clerks with an HIV-infected needle if they didn't follow his instructions, police told the Reading Eagle.

He never showed them the needle.

After clerks handed over a bottle of pain pills, the suspect took off, police said.

Authorities haven't been able to track him down.

The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses at the time of the robbery.
