Vandals in Mays Landing celebrated Mischief Night on Saturday, the annual tradition in which people play neighborhood pranks the night before Halloween. Residents of the community are not amused however.
Gang signs and vulgar words were spray painted on homes, cars and mailboxes in the Harding Run Condominiums.
“It really makes me mad but I really want to thank the kids who did this because I had nothing to do today,” said William Albertson, who spent Sunday morning cleaning graffiti off of his SUV.
“I hope you come around and ask for candy because you are not getting any from me. Unless you want to take the spray paint off my truck today.”
Hamilton Township Police say that the vandalism is still an open investigation. No arrests have been made.
