Philadelphia Police Department detectives have made an arrest regarding a shooting at a party near Temple University.
Police arrested 21-year-old Richard Dodds of Audubon, N.J., for the alleged shooting of a 20-year-old man in the chest at a party on Saturday night.
A fight broke between several people at a party on the 2100 block of N. 17th St. near Fairmont. The fight eventually made its way outside, where the shooting took place.
The victim of the shooting was taken to Temple Hospital. He is in critical condition.
Dodds was beaten after the incident. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment for minor injuries and has since been released into police custody.
