New Orleans-based funk band Galactic will be bringing the funk back to Philly when they rock the Troc Wednesday night.

The band will stop in Philly as part of their winter tour highlighting their most recent album, Ya-Ka-May, released about a year ago.

The band's eighth album blends influences of New Orleans jazz, funk and brass band with contributions from talented Big Easy musicians.

Be sure to get there early as special guests Cyril Neville of the Neville Brothers, the High and Mighty Brass Band and Corey Henry of Rebirth Bass Band -- who is featured on several of Galactic's album tracks -- open the show.

Some $25 tickets remain for the show. Doors open at 7.
