Fall's Must-Have Trends in Footwear

Fall shipments are beginning to roll into Philly area boutiques, so Queen Village's Bus Stop gives us the lowdown on what footwear trends to snag for the season.

New trends include "shearling details, calf high boots, mid-heels, wedges, clean lines, and a jolt of color or pattern, like graphic leopard," Bus Stop Shopgirl Aubrie Costello tells The Feast. "Taupes and greys are back BIG TIME, and the new 'it' colors are plum and oxblood. And say goodbye to the thigh-high boot; the spot-on trend for the upcoming season is boots below-the-knee and ankle boots."

One trend that's coming back from last year? The combat boot. "The lace up boot from last season is still a perfect everyday style for this upcoming fall," says Costello.

As for new and exciting lines, Costello is eager to receive the fall '11 collections from Jeffrey Campbell and Irregular Choice, but she's most excited about United Nude's autumn offerings: the collection includes "unusual, architectural elements," like the unique design of the Eamz Boot and the Fold Boot (both pictured above). "We think our customers will be pleasantly surprised and refreshed by [United Nude's] innovation and outside-the-box approach to shoe design," Costello says.
