Eagles' Wings Clipped — Lose NFC Championship

Super Bowl dreams have ended in the desert as the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship.

The Cards beat the Eagles 32-25 in a back-and-forth game.

The first half was disastrous for the Eagles as they allowed three Larry Fitzgerald touchdowns as the Cards went up 24-6 at the half.

The Eagles stormed back behind three Donovan McNabb touchdown passes to take a 25-24 lead in the forth quarter.

The defense couldn't hold the lead as they allowed the Cardinals to march down the field and score to take the lead for good with just minutes remaining.

The Eagles were attempting to make the Super Bowl after an improbable run of ups and downs this season.

The loss is especially hard considering the uncertain future of longtime Eagles Brian Dawkins, McNabb, Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan.
