Drink! Eat! Mardi Gras!

Make like NOLA: Tonight, forego the sloppy, bloated mess that will be South Street and, instead, head to the Franklin where they will be celebrating Mardi Gras with some class. They'll be serving up NOLA-themed appetizers and debuting a new menu of Mardi Gras-inspired cocktails, like the Roffignac, Vieux Carre and Sazerac. 5-8 p.m.

Fat Tuesday in South Philly: We enjoy this very South Philly take on Mardi Gras: South Philly Bar & Grill will be celebrating debauchary by bringing in First Place winner and Brigade Captain Bud Emig and his B. Love Strutters, performing to classic Mummer string-band music. There will also be $3 South Philly Hurricanes and $2.50 Limoncello and Sambuca shots. This kind of hometown hedonism brings a tear to our eye. 5 p.m.- 2 a.m.

Half-Off Happiness: Now here's a Mardi Gras special that suits those low on funds: Tavern on Broad is feeling extra generous and offering up every drink at half-off. That's right, no matter what drink you order (PBR to 12-year Single Malt Scotch) it will be half-off. They'll sweeten the deal by offering a special cajun menu. 5-8 p.m.

Going out can be a gamble, so why leave it up to chance? Stack the deck every day by peeping Play's Dance Card.
