PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Tramanyne Hawthorne and Scott Rodgers each scored 13 points to lead Drexel to a 66-64 win over Penn on Tuesday.
Egee sank a 3-pointer with 14.7 seconds left to pull the Quakers to 65-63 and quiet the enthusiastic Dragons fans.
Penn's Bobby Jordan was fouled on a 3 attempt with 3.6 seconds to go and had a chance to send the game into overtime. But he missed two of three from the free-throw line. The Quakers then missed their last-chance shot.
The Dragons (1-0) wildly celebrated their first win ever at home over Penn.
Drexel played Penn in a rare weekday 10 a.m. game as part of ESPN's 24-Hour College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.
