Brush Fire Burns in Philly

Normally you don’t think of brush fires in the city but that’s what happened this morning in Philadelphia.

A brush fire broke out around 11:30 a.m. in Cobbs Creek Park around 62nd and Cobbs Creek Parkway in West Philadelphia.

Firefighters were just reporting to the scene so it wasn’t clear the exact extent of damage. From SkyForce10 it appeared an area of leaves on the ground in a wooded area caught fire and appeared to be spreading.

No injuries were reported.

Brisk winds in the area could hinder the firefighting efforts.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
