A man registered as a Megan's Law offender has been charged with rape and other offenses after he allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-old boy.
The reported assault occurred in the 1600 block of S 17th Street in South Philly.
Registered sex offender Calvin Moore, 29, is charged with rape, indecent assault and burglary. He allegedly barged into the 11-year-old boy's home and sexually assaulted the child when an adult watching the child stepped out for a moment.
Moore lived within blocks of the boy and had contacted him recently asking if the boy wanted to make money, according to police.
Authorities arrested Moore and he remains in custody.
