DJ AM attends the Verizon Palm Centro Launch Party at Elevate Lounge on June 26, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.

DJ AM is making his official return to the turntables on Wednesday night, his first gig since surviving a Learjet crash in South Carolina.

AM’s rep confirmed to Access Hollywood that the superstar spinner will open for hip hop star Jay-Z’s show at the Los Angeles Palladium, a venue which is opening following lengthy renovations, tomorrow night.

“He’s the greatest rapper in the world,” DJ AM said in a statement to People. “This is the biggest thing that’s happened in my career.”

It is unclear at present, however, if AM (real name Adam Goldstein), will attend “Welcome Home DJ AM,” a dance event at Hollywood’s Avalon venue this evening, the rep’s star told Access.
