Choice asked Vick to autograph a glove for Choice’s 3-year-old nephew.
Tashard's "choice" certainly didn't sit well with Dallas fans licking the wounds from a loss to the hated Eagles. It also raised eyebrows around the country because it's just something you don't do on the field postgame. You're expected to shake hands maybe give a few hugs to the opposing team and get out of dodge -- not go all star seeking.
The moment, which was caught on tape, would likely not have blown up if it wasn’t for NBC’s cameras but the fact is that Choice asked for Vick’s John Hancock -- a choice the Boys back seemed to regret.
“Listen y'all I know Vick. That glove was for my nephew who is 3. Not for me,” Choice tweeted. “If its anybody that cares about winning and the D Cowboys its me. I apologize to the people it was just an innocent jesture for my nephew.”
(Yes I realize that Choice misspelled gesture.)
The move -- asking for the autograph not the spelling -- was great fodder all day Monday for sports talk radio. So one local station decided to capitalize on the hype and hook Choice up with some more autographs -- this time from average joes.
The folks over at 97.5 The Fanatic want Eagles fans to mail in autographs that they will then gather and give to Choice.
97.5 The Fanatic listeners are invited to send their own autographs to the radio station, to be delivered to Tashard Choice. The autographs can be on any random item, e.g., gloves, hats, t-shirts, pictures, or a simple piece of paper.
Send your autographs to:

I fully support the absurdity of this move -- have some fun and send your John Hancock’s over to the folks at The Fanatic.
Of course not everyone is mad at Choice’s choice to ask for Vick’s autograph, as explained by our friends at the Blue Star Blog.
Choice isn’t the only NFL player to use Twitter to weigh in on the publicity his autograph-seeking has received since Sunday evening. Cincinnati Bengals’ receiver Chad Ochocinco defended Choice this morning, writing, "They making a big deal about another player asking for Vick autograph, I want his autograph and the skills he has to shh and a jersey."
