Winter couldn't wait any longer!  It snowed all around the region Tuesday.

Mount Pocono saw 12 inches of snow.  Some shopping centers were closed due to power outages.

It also  snowed in Bensalem, Harleysville, Hatboro, and Souderton, Pa.  Jackie in Souderton e-mailed:

"It is snowing like crazy at EMC Elementary in the Souderton Area School District!  We have an inch and a half on the playground!"

Perkasie, Horsham, Langhorne and Willow Grove saw snowfall, as well.

Gregg in Horsham e-mailed:

"I have been waiting all year for snow.  I just measured 1.5 inches of snow in Horsham, PA! Wooo! Ski season is back!"

While Gregg is breaking out his ski gear, folks in White Haven, Pa woke up to white stuff on the ground Tuesday morning!

Martha of White Haven sent us photos and you can see the snow really stuck!  Her dog Mickey seemed to enjoy it.

Southbound Route 309 in Bucks County was closed Tuesday morning due to snow.  The road was closed at Richhill Rd. because of an accident.    The road has reopened and the road was salted.

And from our faithful weather updaters (comments) below, snow is reported to have fallen in:

  • Northeast Philly
  • Warminster, Pa.
  • Dresher, Pa.
  • Chalfont, Pa.
  • Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
  • Colmar, Pa.
  • Furlong, Pa.
  • Bristol, Pa.
  • Newtown, Pa.
  • Hainesport, N.J.
  • Atlantic City, N.J.
