A 5-year-old child is in the hospital after being struck by a pick-up truck in Bucks County Sunday afternoon.

Police said the incident happened around 2:45 p.m. at the Magic Touch Car Wash located at 1001 Trenton Road in Falls Township.

Investigators say the boy was with a family member to clean a Dodge Ram pick-up.

When the driver decided to move the truck from one vacuum station to another within the parking lot, the child was hit while he ran along the passenger side. He was then run over.

Police said the driver immediately stopped the truck and rendered aid to the child before medics arrived.

The entire incident was caught on surveillance video.

Medics from the Levittown Fairless Hills Rescue squad responded to the incident and transported the boy to St. Mary's Hospital where he received treatment before being flown to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The condition of the child remains unknown.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to provide information to Officer Phillippe at 215-949-9100.
