Eat Sweet Like Michelle, Sasha and Malia

When the First Lady and daughters Sasha and Malia made a surprise visit Philly this weekend -- they stopped by Capogiro, the city's favorite gelato joint, for a sweet treat.

You can't buy that kind of advertising, right? Now the gelateria on 13th and Samsom boasts "Michelle Obama ate here" on its billboard right outside its Center City location. It's working.

"The first woman who came in was absolutely elated that she could get whatever Michelle Obama had had," said employee Dawne Ballard who helped the Obamas during their visit.

The First Lady obviously has a penchant for chocolate ordering a Cioccolato Scuro -- "which is a really dark chocolate and chocolate banana," described Ballard.

Sasha and Malia opted for something lighter and sweeter. "The kids both got Dulce De Leche, which is Argentinean caramel and one put sweet milk with it," said Ballard.

See if your taste buds agree with the Obama choices at one of the gelato-maker's four city shops, but If you want the true "Michelle ate here" experience, visit the Midtown Village at 13th and Sansom.
