Climb Up The Ladder

The day has finally come… anticipated upscale pub Ladder 15 opens tonight at 9 p.m. at 1528 Sansom. The restaurant will open with passed menu samples until Sunday when the kitchen fires up under its regular 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. schedule. Might as well stop by for a peek and some nibbles!

Ladder 15 has the potential to become a Center City highlight, during the post-work hours and beyond. The menu was designed by Little Fish chef and owner Mike Stollenwerk and includes dishes that include flatbreads with truffles, braised short ribs or clams, chicken gyros, seared tuna with avocado, duck breast with brie on an English muffin and burgers.

The renovated old firehouse is enormous and manly, with all of its mahogany and steel, but the owners behind frat boy fave Mad River in Old City and Manayunk promise their new venture will attract an older crowd more suited to the "gastropub" label. Here's hopin'!
