The hills will come alive on the beach in Cape May on Thursday, August 11.

The classic film, "The Sound of Music," starring Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Eleanor Parker and Richard Haydn will be shown on the big screen on the beach as part of Cape May’s summer-long Movies on the Beach program at 8:30 p.m.

The Walt Disney classic, Swiss Family Robinson will be shown on August 18, but the final film (August 25) has not yet been announced.

Patrons are encouraged to bring a beach chair and blanket for the event, which takes place near the site of the former Convention Hall, across from the Beach and Stockton intersection.

Admission to these movies is free.
