Party With the Sixers

Hang with players, dancers and fellow fans in Avalon

Here’s a great reason to head to the shore this weekend (if you don’t already have one).

The Philadelphia 76ers are hosting a Beach Bash in Avalon.

From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, fans can hang out with players, executives and dancers.

Watch the 2010-2011 Sixers Dancers perform for the first time together in preparation for the upcoming season. The final auditions were held on July 14.

Or chat it up with Sixers President and General Manager, Ed Stefanski. He must have plenty of stories to tell.

The Sixers’ newest player, Evan Turner, will greet fans at the party. He was the team’s Number Two overall pick in the Draft this summer. Turner played for the Ohio State Buckeyes in college.

All family-friendly activities will be outside of Jack’s Place in Avalon and are free. Fans 21 and over can go into the bar area for $10.

All proceeds will go to Sixers Charities, which supports local non-profit organizations.

The party goes on rain or shine.
