Go Green Expo Wraps Up Today

The 40th anniversary of Earth Day is coming up on Thursday, but if you want to get a head start on going green, today's the day.

The Go Green Expo wraps up today at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks (100 Station Ave., Oaks, Pa.) and includes more than 200 exhibitors showing off their ideas for helping the environment and helping people make organic choices for their dinner table and wardrobes.

At 2 p.m., state Rep. Bryan Lentz (D-Delaware Co.) will talk about how Pennsylvania can benefit from the green economy. There will also be some panel discussions on alternative transportation, sustainable investing and eco-lifestyle.

Did we mention organic food and fashion?

The show goes until 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 and kids get in free.

Manayunk is also celebrating Earth Day Sunday with a family festival. Get more info on that event here.
