With more than ten years experience in television journalism, NBC 10 Lehigh Valley News Correspondent Stacey Weaver joined the station in June 2004.
From 2000-2004, Weaver co-anchored weekday morning and noon newscasts at WBRE/WYOU in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. While there, she received the 2002 Women in Journalism Award from The United States Postal Service. Before that, she worked at Medstar Television in Allentown, Pennsylvania, as a medical reporter.
Early in her career, Weaver was a weekend anchor, reporter and producer at WVVA-TV in Bluefield, West Virginia. She got her start in television broadcasting producing a newscast at WFMZ-TV in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
A native of Pennsylvania, she graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA, where she earned a degree in English. Throughout her career, Weaver has been highly active in the community, working passionately to raise money for charities such as Children’s Miracle Network, Make A Wish foundation and the American Red Cross.
Weaver resides in the Lehigh Valley with her son Ben, and enjoys hiking, pilates, concerts and weekend trips to Avalon.
