Help Cheerleaders With Special Needs Get New Unis

The South Jersey Storm, a.k.a. the Twisters, is a special needs cheerleading team made up of 30 kids -- including boys.

It’s a no-fee program benefiting kids that have a wide range of disabilities from autism, to a wheelchair bound child, to one who is terminally ill.

The twisters have doubled in size in the three years since they were founded. And with that growth has come the need for more funds.

They need to raise about $3,000 for cheerleading costumes in order to compete.

The need for money is in part because it’s free to join the Twisters. The free policy is due to parent's sometimes skyrocketing out of pocket expenses to deal with children's medical issues.

Even the coaches donate their time.

You can help the storm look great the next time they cheer.
