Vick Gets Extra Work on Day Two of Eagles Practice

Michael Vick spent an extra 20 minutes on the field after Eagles practice ended, trying to catch up on Philadelphia's offense and get back into playing shape.

Vick was in good spirits Sunday and shared some laughs with teammate Donovan McNabb. Vick completed some deep passes during the 110-minute practice and had one broken up during a goal-line drill.

Eagles’ offensive coordinator Marty Morhinweg said he wants Vick to concentrate on the basics but practices will get more intense for the quarterback.

"It's going to be a process," Mornhinweg said. One, maybe two things a day after practice, he will be in an intensive learning situation ... That quarterback position is real important for him, and for us, so that's the first thing, and then the other things as they present themselves. Obviously, we're going to do some other things with him, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

Vick practiced with the Eagles for the second time since he signed Thursday for $1.6 million with a team option for a second year at $5.2 million.

A three-time Pro Bowl pick during six seasons with the Atlanta Falcons, Vick served 18 months in federal prison for running a dog fighting ring.

He was reinstated last month by the NFL after being out of action since 2006.
