Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown thinks Biden could get bumped out of the V.P. job and into Hillary Clinton's post.
The New York Post got the buzz going first this week, reporting that Brown, "widely regarded on the West Coast as one of the savviest political analysts around," was predicting a high-level shakeup::
"Vice President Biden moves over to secretary of state, with New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo stepping in to bring new blood to the Obama re-election campaign.
"He's a big name, a big-state governor. And a Democrat who is taking on the issue of pubic-employee salaries and pensions. Plus, he looks good."
Cuomo's office said he's flatted but committed to his current job.
USA Today reporter David Jackson, who wrote about Brown's prediction, doesn't see it happening:
"And for what it's worth, we'd be totally shocked if Obama ran with anyone but Biden next year; he truly likes the guy."
