Gov. Chris Christie's Favorability Hits an All-Time Low

Gov. Chris Christie's favorability rating among registered voters in New Jersey has hit an all-time low.

A Rugters-Eagleton Poll released Thursday finds 64 percent have an unfavorable view of Christie, up five points from February.

Just 26 percent of the state's registered voters surveyed have a favorable opinion. That's down three points from February, when Christie folded his campaign for the Republican nomination for president.

The survey finds 56 percent of Republicans feel favorable toward the governor, down seven points from two months ago. Voters surveyed appear divided over whether Christie is honest and trustworthy.

Only 3 percent of the respondents cited Christie's support for Donald Trump as a reason for disliking him.

The survey of 738 registered voters has a sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
