Senator Arlen Specter lost control of a town hall meeting on August 13, 2009 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania when citizens who found out they couldn't speak, got up and yelled at him.

Two opponents gunning for Sen. Arlen Specter's seat have gotten together in a town hall meeting of political polar opposites.

Conservative Republican Pat Toomey and Democratic congressman Joe Sestak met Wednesday night at Muhlenberg College in Allentown to discuss health care reform. They planned to get together at a local bar after the debate for beers.

Toomey is a former congressman whose popularity among conservatives prompted Specter to leave the Republican Party in April. Sestak is defying party leaders including President Barack Obama by challenging Specter in next May's primary.

Sestak supports government-run insurance provisions. Toomey advocates medical malpractice reform and tax incentives for citizens who buy private insurance.
