Woman Beaten With Bat in Tacony: Cops

Police are searching for a pair of suspects who they say beat a woman with a baseball bat in her own home early Friday morning.

Going through her window, the two entered the victim's aparment on the 4300 block of Princeton Avenue in the Tacony section of Philadelphia around midnight, according to police. They then assaulted the 23-year-old woman with a glass candle-holder and a bat while also forcing pills down her throat, police say.

The victim called 9-1-1.

The suspectes fled and did not take anything from the victim's apartment.

She was taken to the Aria Health's Torresdale Campus, but refused treatment.
