The Pennsylvania Game Commission is searching for a wolf that escaped from a facility in Northampton Saturday.
"Baby Martin," a 13-year-old neutered male, is a properly licensed and captivity-raised wolf who lived at a licensed rehabilitation center in Upper Mount Bethel Township.
Officials say that Martin escaped after a tree fell down on the enclosure where he was kept.
Martin reportedly escaped near the intersection of Routes 611 and 512 and was seen in that general area.
Martin is tall and skinny, weighing around 80 pounds with a silver-gray color.
“We do not recommend that anyone approach the animal, but it is not considered dangerous and will probably run away from people,” said Doug Killough, the Game Commission Southeast Region director.
