2 Injured in Personal Watercraft Crash at Jersey Shore

Two men were injured when the personal watercraft they were on crashed in the Navesink River.

Rumson police tell the Asbury Park Press that the accident occurred around noon Saturday in the Jersey Shore community.

They say the driver hit a wake, lost control and bounced off the vessel. The driver suffered facial injuries and head trauma, while the passenger suffered a cut to his leg.

Both men were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their injuries were not considered serious, but further details on their conditions were not disclosed.

The names of the injured men were not released.
