Viewing Thursday for Society Hill Shooting Victim

The young man was shot in an apparent robbery early Sunday

On Thursday night, family and friends will come together to remember a young man that was shot and killed over the weekend in Society Hill.

Police say the 32-year-old man was found shot in the chest on the 400 block of South 4th Street, just before 3:30 a.m. Sunday, in what appeared to be a robbery.

The victim, Michael Hagan Jr.worked as an information-technology consultant with Grant Thornton L.L.P in Center City, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, and was a graduate of Pennsauken High School and Drexel University.

His brother, Jesse Hagan, told the Inquirer that Michael owned a home in Fishtown that he had renovated with the help of their Dad, and was passionate about city revitalization.

His viewing will be held Thursday night from 6-9 p.m. and Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Falco/Caruso & Leonard Pennsauken Funeral Home at 6600 North Browning Road. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Stephen on 6300 Browning Road in Pennsauken.
