Trolley Struck, Knocked Off Tracks

The driver of the car that struck the trolley was transported to Hahnemann Hospital in stable condition.

Trolley Struck, Knocked Off Tracks

A Chevy Blazer hit a trolley and knocked it off the tracks in Northern Liberties.

A driver was injured when her car struck a trolley so hard that it was knocked off the tracks in Northern Liberties overnight.

Police say that before 2 a.m. Monday, a white Chevy Blazer hit the back of a trolley on 6th and Girard. The trolley was knocked off the tracks and blocked the eastbound lane of Girard Avenue for some time.

The 32-year-old driver of the Blazer was injured in the accident and transported to Hahnmann Hospital. She is in stable condition.

Investigators say two other people where in the SUV at the time of the crash, but the fled the scene before police arrived.
