Thousands Still Without Power in Pa.

More than 130,000 still out of power Wednesday

More than 130,000 customers are still without power across Pennsylvania as the state continues to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

Ruth Miller, a spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, says that 131,779 customers were still without power as of 8 p.m. Tuesday. That's down from a peak of more than 700,000 outages at the height of the weekend storm.

Utility crews are out working across central and eastern Pennsylvania on Wednesday, clearing trees and repairing equipment damaged by the heavy rains and high winds.

Miller says the state is still visiting areas of the state hit by Irene and has not yet tallied a price tag for how much damage the storm caused.

In Montgomery County, anyone in East Norriton Township who is still without power is urged to contact the Fire Marshal's Office ASAP 610-275-2800.
