Man Nabbed for Boyd's Robbery

Philly Police arrested one of the men alleged to have pulled off a brazensmash-and-grab robbery in broad daylight at Boyd’s in Center City.

Nathaniel Williams, 19, was fingered by witnesses as one of the four robbers who stole about $220,000 worth of high-end watches from the Govberg's Jewelry Store inside Boyd's Men Store at 1818 Chestnut Street, according to Philadelphia Police.

He was arrested Wednesday night without incident, said police.

During the June 4 robbery two men held store employees and a security guard at gunpoint while the other two smashed jewelry cases and made off with the goods, cops said.

Police charged Williams with a slew of charges including criminal conspiracy, robbery, possessing an instrument of crime, terroristic threats, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

The quest for the other alleged robbers continued, police said.
