Gun Violence in Philadelphia Leaves 3 Hospitalized

Philadelphia police are investigating three separate overnight shootings that left several people hospitalized.

One of the shootings happened in the 3200 block of Emerald Street in Kensington. Police say two females showed up at Temple University Hospital with a 23-year-old male with gunshot wounds to his chest. He is listed in critical condition.

The females told investigators the male was shot on Emerald Street. They are being questioned by police.

In the second shooting, a 19-year-old male was shot during an altercation in the 1400 block of Lenox Street in North Philadelphia. The male is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

Finally, a male sitting in his car in the 400 block of Ruscomb Street was wounded when a gunman walked up to the car and opened fire. The male is in critical condition at Albert Einstein Medical Center.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The shootings remain under investigation.
