Police are on the hunt for a man who they say robbed a Wawa store in Lansdowne.

It happened last Saturday around 2 p.m. Police arrived at the Wawa on North Lansdowne Avenue for an armed robbery report.

The store manager told police that he was removing money from the safe when he was approached by a man armed with a semiautomatic handgun. Police say the suspect ordered the manager to remove all the money from the safe and place it in a bag.

The suspect then left the store with the money and fled in an unknown direction, according to investigators. While numerous customers were inside the store during the robbery, police say no one was injured.

The suspect is described as a medium built black male in his late 20s or early 30s standing 5-foot-10 with a mustache and goatee. Police also say the suspect had an earring in his right ear.

Anyone with information on the incident or suspect should call the Lansdowne Police Department at 610-623-0700.
