Reward Increased in Store Owner's Murder

The reward for the information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons involved in the shooting death of a Collingdale store owner has been increased, according to Collingdale Police.

The original $2500 reward was being offered by the Fred Winner fund for justice committee

That reward has now been increased to $10,000, thanks to the generosity of donors, according to the Delaware County Daily Times.

Togesh "Yogi" Bhavsar, 34, was killed on August 31 when he was shot once in the chest in what police believe was a botched robbery attempt.

Yogi moved to Delaware County from India a decade ago to be close to his family.

"He was the purest soul ever," said neighbor Robert Veney. "If anybody never deserved this, he didn't."

Police are hoping the increased reward will lead them to Yogi's killers.

Anyone with information should call Collingdale Police at 610-586-0502.
