A man is groping teenage girls in one neighborhood.
People are worried and police think it may be the work of a serial attacker.
The victims, girls ranging in age from 14 to 17, were all in the Mt. Airy area when they were groped.
In three of the cases, it's the same MO. The girls all reported being fondled while while they were headed off to school. A fourth girl was assaulted while waiting for the bus, according to a police report.
Each time, the attacker appeared to be jogging and, in some cases, he mumbled under his breath while he grabbed the victims' buttocks, said police.
There are links between the reports including common descriptions, locations and the behavior of the suspect, said police.
So police are trying to find out if the same guy is behind all the assaults.
The first incident happened on the 7000 block of Germantown Ave. in June 2008. Other incidents happened at these locations:
- December 2008 - 6600 block of Boyer St.
- February 2009 - 7500 block of Germantown Ave.
- March 2009 - 7400 block of Germantown Ave
School crossing guards in the area have been put on alert and asked to keep an eye out for the suspect.
