Pizza Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint: Police

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a Domino’s pizza delivery driver.

The 20-year-old victim reported to police he was delivering two pizzas to Apartment D on 500 Stamford Drive in Newark around 1:50 a.m. When he arrived, he discovered Apartment D did not exist, as the apartments were numbered.

The delivery driver then headed back to his vehicle. Once inside, a man approached the driver’s side window and stated “give me what you got,” while displaying a small black handgun, according to police.

The victim surrendered an unknown amount of money and his cell phone. The suspect then fled the area by foot.

Police are describing the suspect as a white male between 5’6” and 5’9” with a thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head, a black bandana covering his face and black gloves.

No surveillance footage is available.
